Fear-free at the dentist thanks to various sedation methods

Relaxed at your dentist's

We want to provide you with a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the treatment so that you feel comfortable and can experience the treatment stress-free.
Our aim is to respond optimally to your needs and to create a basis of trust in order to be able to offer the best possible treatment overall.

For various reasons, this is unfortunately not always sufficient and a dental phobia can lead to avoiding going to the dentist.
It does not matter whether the cause of the fear is the setting of the anaesthetic or a general feeling of discomfort at the dentist or whether a strong gag reflex makes the treatment more difficult.
Fortunately, we have various options available to us to solve these problems.

We can offer the following methods if required:

  • Nitrousoxide Sedation / Laughin Gas
  • Analgo Sedation
  • General Anaesthesia

Treatments in laughing gas sedation

Laughing gas is a proven aid for treating children and adults with fear of dental procedures.
The mixture of oxygen and laughing gas is inhaled through a nose mask and the calming effect sets in after just a few breaths. Fear and tension give way to a feeling of lightness and relaxation. In addition, the treatment time is perceived to be greatly reduced.
What previously seemed impossible suddenly becomes possible.

Analgo-sedation treatment

In analgo-sedation, the sedating drugs are administered intravenously by the anaesthetist.
administered intravenously.
The patient feels relaxed and calm during the treatment, and the sense of time is lost. Analgo-sedation is therefore also called twilight sleep.
Spontaneous breathing is maintained at all times and the patient remains responsive.
During the entire treatment, the anaesthesia team monitors the vital functions and thus ensures a safe and relaxed treatment.
After the dental treatment, you are still a little tired, but otherwise well responsive and can soon go home again.

Treatment under general anaesthetic / general anaesthesia

For various reasons, treatment may still only be possible under general anaesthesia. For this purpose, we work together with our mobile anaesthesia team.

Beforehand, our anaesthetist will clarify in a detailed anamnestic discussion whether an outpatient anaesthesia can also be carried out for general medical reasons. As with a general anaesthetic in hospital, the patients are intubated and asleep during the entire treatment. At the same time, the anaesthesia team monitors breathing, pulse, blood pressure and heart rate.
State-of-the-art equipment, appropriate medication and the extensive experience of our anaesthesia team in the care of children and adults ensure high-quality treatment. After waking up and a short recovery phase of about half an hour to an hour, the patients can then go home accompanied.

It is therefore possible for dental procedures to be carried out safely and with absolutely no stress for you in an outpatient general anaesthetic.
