Digital tools support our treatments

  • Google Review

A trustworthy practice with competent and friendly staff. Top results and great value for money. Absolutely recommendable!

We live in the digital age - also in dentistry

Although dentistry is still a craft, performed by skilled hands, digital tools have become an integral part of our daily lives.

Our practice is fully digitalised and equipped with the latest medical devices.
We have digital X-rays, practice software, a volume tomograph (DVT), an intraoral scanner and various software to link three-dimensional data.

This allows us to plan and simulate complex treatments and operations on the computer screen before the intervention. This increases the safety and quality of our therapies.

    Digital X-ray

In our practice, all treatment rooms are equipped with a digital X-ray machine.
Compared to the analogue method, digital X-rays are highly reduced in radiation, thus less harmful, environmentally friendly as the X-ray foils are recycled and more practical as the images are available on every monitor throughout the practice.

Digital Volume Tomography (DVT), Dental CT

In our practice, we have a three-dimensional imaging procedure available in the form of digital volume tomography (DVT).
The decisive difference to two-dimensional X-rays is that the structures of our body are reproduced spatially - just as they are in nature.
Before dental treatments that require a more detailed diagnosis (e.g. implants, removal of complex wisdom teeth), the dentist receives much more information and can plan the therapy much more precisely and accurately. Bone structures or nerves can be identified, assessed and thus protected during the procedure - an important safety aspect for you as a patient!
But also in the case of other pathologies, the three-dimensional DVT image often shows the decisive findings and it is possible for us to determine the cause and initiate a targeted therapy - more information gives us the decisive advantage here!
At the same time, the radiation exposure is significantly reduced compared to a conventional CT.

    CEREC

Cerec is a CAD/CAM technique for the computer-controlled fabrication of ceramic workpieces in one session.
A special camera is used to take a picture of the prepared tooth and its neighbouring teeth. Using special software, the workpiece is designed on the computer and milled from a ceramic block with a milling machine. The workpiece precisely replaces the missing parts of the tooth and is fixed to the tooth immediately after production.
This treatment takes place in one session, so there is no need for a temporary restoration and a second appointment.
Whether a restoration with a Cerec makes sense in your specific case must be decided individually.

Intraoral Impression with 3-Shape Trios Scanner

In our practice, we have been using intraoral scanners for several years, which largely replace the classic impressions by taking serial photographs.
A 3D printer subsequently enables the production of models without plaster on which the reconstructions are made. Nowadays, however, many works are also produced fully digitally.
Especially in cases of gag reflex or large reconstructions, this technique makes impressions much more comfortable for patients.

3D Implant Planning / Guided Implantology

If necessary, we plan an implantation in our practice three-dimensionally and computer-assisted. This is particularly useful in more difficult initial situations, for example, when the jawbone has receded and there is little space for implants or a nerve runs close to the surgical area.
Using special software, we can link the optical impression with the three-dimensional X-ray image and thus determine the exact position of the implant. Using a printed splint, we can then precisely transfer the position planned on the computer into the operation.
Nowadays, an implantation cannot be prepared and implemented more precisely and safely!
