Beautiful and healthy teeth convey joie de vivre, vitality and strengthen self-confidence. Of course, your dental and oral health comes first.
Our competences:
The most common technique used to treat caries is direct filling therapy. Modern filling materials consist of composite, a mixture of plastic and ceramic glass ground to nanometre size. The composite, which is soft at first, can be placed directly into the tooth, which has been cleaned of caries, using instruments and then cured. Modern composites have very good polishability, are tooth-coloured and durable.
A veneer is a thin ceramic shell that is bonded to the outside of the teeth to achieve a long-term correction of shape, position and/or colour. It takes a lot of experience to prepare the teeth in a minimally invasive way, i.e. to work only in the outermost layer - the enamel - and still achieve a perfect aesthetic result.
In cooperation with our specialised dental laboratories, high-quality individual ceramic veneers are produced after the appropriate try-in.
With the so-called non-prep veneers, also known as etch-pieces, the teeth are treated with minimally thin ceramic shells, as with veneers, without grinding them. This method cannot be used in every case, but is, if possible, an extremely gentle dental treatment that satisfies the highest aesthetic demands.
For an optimal, aesthetic result, it is often not enough to just focus on the For clients who want a cheaper alternative to the classic ceramic veneers, we can offer an anterior reconstruction using prefabricated, customisable cones in certain cases. In this case, industrially manufactured composite veneers are adapted to the respective situation, bonded and then customised taking aesthetic guidelines into account.
Depending on the extent of the defect in the tooth, it is replaced with ceramic workpieces.
After the impression is taken, the technician creates a model in the laboratory on which the ceramic workpiece is made. In a second session, this is then attached to the tooth.
In this way, the defect of the tooth can be replaced in its natural form and function with a long-lasting reconstruction.
If a tooth that is missing for various reasons is to be replaced as a whole, this can be done with an adhesive bridge or a bridge reconstruction.
The neighbouring teeth are used as anchorage. The restoration can be made entirely of ceramic in the case of an adhesive bridge or a bridge reconstruction, or it can be made of a metal framework veneered with ceramic in the case of a classic bridge reconstruction.
Cerec is a CAD/CAM technique for the computer-controlled fabrication of ceramic workpieces in one session.
A special camera is used to take a picture of the prepared tooth and its neighbouring teeth. Using special software, the workpiece is designed on the computer and milled from a ceramic block with a milling machine. The workpiece precisely replaces the missing parts of the tooth and is fixed to the tooth immediately after production.
This treatment takes place in one session, so there is no need for a temporary restoration and a second appointment.
Whether a restoration with a Cerec makes sense in your specific case must be decided individually.
The formerly frequently used filling material amalgam is no longer used in our practice for aesthetic reasons and because of the mercury content. However, we remove amalgam fillings if they have become leaky, caries has formed under the filling or at the express request of our patients.
If unclear pain conditions or allergy clarifications indicate an amalgam rehabilitation, an amalgam removal can also be carried out.
The material of choice for replacing an amalgam filling depends on the individual case and can be a composite filling, a Cerec workpiece, a laboratory workpiece or a crown.
For a beautiful result, it is often not enough to treat only the teeth. The gum line should also be improved accordingly to achieve a harmonious smile. We can optimise the gum line and cover exposed tooth necks using the latest surgical techniques.
We offer all modern methods of aesthetic dentistry in our practice.
