One of the core competences of our practice is orthodontics, which takes care of the many treatment options for misaligned teeth and jaws.
Orthodontics can do much more for your child than you expect. Managing growth not only improves the profile, but also the chewing function and supports speech development. It helps to positively influence oral health and allows efficient dental care to be carried out. This prevents later temporomandibular joint, caries and periodontal diseases as well as head and neck pain.
The optimal time for a consultation depends on the extent of the jaw misalignment. For girls this is usually at around 9 years of age, for boys at around 10 years of age. In the case of pronounced malocclusion, however, a consultation should take place at the latest when the child is 6 years old.
However, it is never too late! Even in adulthood, malocclusions can still be treated gently and effectively. Our experienced team offers you not only the classical treatment with brackets on the outside of the teeth, but also the hardly visible techniques with internal brackets, also called lingual technique, or Invisalign, which is carried out with transparent splints.
With more than 25 years of experience and an internationally founded further education, our specialist orthodontist, Dr. Inglezos, can offer a good orthodontic solution even in complex cases.
By combining orthodontics and paediatric dentistry under one roof, we can provide optimal care for your children and adolescents. For you, this means fewer appointments, the best care and avoidance of duplications. We take comprehensive care of you and your child.
